Tides of Fortune Structures
Tides of Fortune structures — Shipyard, Market, Bounty Board, Aquarium, Aquatic Compartment, Cargo Ledger, and harbor base design for ARK fleets.
Structure Categories
Tides of Fortune structures divide into harbor buildings (placed near water at your base) and ship-mounted tilesets (placed on vessel decks). Harbor buildings create permanent naval infrastructure supporting fleet operations. Ship tilesets customize individual vessels for combat, trade, or exploration roles.
Every structure requires its engram unlocked through Genesis Part 1 milestones and standard building materials for construction. Harbor structures need appropriate terrain — the Shipyard specifically requires deep water placement.
Structures interconnect into a harbor ecosystem. Shipyard handles vessels, Market handles trade, Bounty Board handles missions, Cargo Ledger handles inventory, and cosmetic structures support Luxury builds.
Shipyard and Naval Structures
Shipyard: Central naval hub for ship construction, repair, docking, and fast-travel. Must be placed in deep water. Build first. Buried Treasure Cache: Placeable storage container that can be buried with a Shovel for hidden loot security.
These structures form the minimum viable harbor. Every Tides of Fortune player needs a Shipyard regardless of playstyle. Buried Treasure Cache adds security for players in PvP environments who want to hide valuables from raiders.
Multiple Shipyards at different map locations create fast-travel networks for tribes operating fleets across distant harbors.
Trade and Economy Structures
Market: Enables safe player-to-player trading with buy/sell orders. Acts as a local hub for the Hexagon Exchange. Essential for Merchant builds. Cargo Ledger: Tracks and manages inventory across harbor storage and ship cargo holds.
Place Market structures near your Shipyard for dock-to-trade workflow efficiency. Set buy orders for resources you need, sell orders for surplus treasure loot, and let the Market handle transactions while you sail.
Cargo Ledger integration prevents inventory chaos as your fleet grows. Track which Brigantine carries which resources, monitor trade good stockpiles, and coordinate tribal supply distribution from a central ledger.
Mission and Utility Structures
Bounty Board: Tracks and dispenses missions for milestone progress and reward income. Place near Shipyard for pre-voyage mission pickup. TOF Lights: Ship and harbor illumination with Luxury skill synergy for morale bonuses.
Bounty Board missions overlap with Genesis milestones and Parrot taming affinity (supply drop completions). Pick up missions before every voyage for parallel progression.
TOF Lights serve practical and aesthetic purposes. Illuminate harbor bases for night operations, customize ship appearance for fleet identification, and activate Luxury passive bonuses when skill-invested.
Ship Tileset Structures
Aquatic Compartment: Tame transport on ship decks for moving creatures across ocean biomes. Aquarium: Cosmetic and Luxury-synergy decoration. Storage compartments: Cargo holds for treasure loot and resources. Cannon mounts: Additional broadside firepower.
Tileset placement is limited by ship class deck zones. Sloops have fewer slots — prioritize essentials. Brigantines accommodate fuller configurations for combat or cargo specialization.
Plan tileset layout before committing resources. See the customization guide for optimal configurations by playstyle and the engrams guide for unlock requirements.
